Getting an HPCC account

UCR researchers and students who want to use the HPCC cluster

HPCC accounts are created by the High-Performance Computing Center. The HPCC Access page is the authority on the process. In short:

  1. Email the HPCC at support@hpcc.ucr.edu. Include the full name, NetID and email address of the user and of the PI.
  2. Involve the PI. Users must be members of the PI's group. The request should come from the PI, or the PI should be copied on it.
  3. New labs that are not yet registered include, in the same email, a funding source (COA) for the annual lab registration ($1,000 per lab per year), the email of the lab's financial contact, and any additional storage wanted.
  4. Log in. When you receive your account details, follow the HPCC login instructions.

Then try connecting and running a first job.
