Research Computing is part of UC Riverside's Information Technology Solutions (ITS). We help researchers find and use computing, storage and data services, on campus, in the cloud, and through national programs.
What we do
- Consultation and facilitation. We help researchers choose services, plan projects and grants, and move work between systems.
- Services. We run Ursa Major (UCR's Google Cloud research program), CephRDS storage, the secure research enclave with ITS and the Information Security Office, and lab system administration.
- Guidance. This site and its knowledge base.
Who we work with
- The High-Performance Computing Center (HPCC) runs the campus cluster and its storage. The HPCC website is the authority on its systems, rates and policies.
- ITS provides campus accounts, collaboration storage, campus AI tools and cloud agreements. See its.ucr.edu.
- The Information Security Office sets campus security requirements and reviews data security plans.
- National programs, including NSF ACCESS, the NAIRR Pilot, the National Research Platform and OSG.
About this site
This site is a guide. Where another unit owns a service or a figure, we link to its pages, and its pages are the authority. Every page shows who owns it and when it was last reviewed. If something looks wrong or out of date, tell us. See the site terms.
